Vision And Purpose
Our vision is to be a city on a hill, shining the light of Jesus.
Our purpose is to be Jesus to all people.
Discover
We believe getting to know God and developing a relationship with Him is essential. So we ask people to discover God and faith. Environmentally you can do this on Sunday mornings. Personally you can also take the step of reading scripture and praying on a regular basis to get to know God better.
Cultivate
We believe spiritual growth happens when we study the word of God together. Environmentally you can do this through small groups, Sunday groups, or special midweek studies.
Serve
We believe that God has loved us so extremely that we can't help but love others that way. Environmentally this happens through the many different ways Capital City serves the community and through our ministry teams. We believe in taking action in our communities as a church as we serve others.
Our Values
Jesus-Centered Teaching
The Bible is God's living word and the catalyst for life-change
People matter to God
All people matter to God, so they also matter to us
Generosity
God is generous and so we are generous with our time, talent, and resources
Gifts-Based Service

Life-Changing Community
Life-change is best accomplished in the context of loving relationships with authentic believers
What we Believe
We know that there are many questions about Church and faith. We acknowledge that people have been conversing about God for centuries and the conversation will continue for centuries more. As diverse and intricate the conversation about God and faith can be, the truth is, God can be known and we can have a relationship with him. And God has made that simple. At Capital City Christian Church we believe some things must be held as essential to understanding and being in relationship with God. These are things that do not change.
GOD
We Believe in one God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:1, John 4:24, John 14:9-10,
We Believe God is the creator of man and all things.
Genesis 1:1, Acts 17:24-28, Colossians 1:16
We believe God is worthy of all affection, glory, and honor. God is the supreme joy, and He is most glorified when mankind is most satisfied in him.
Romans 12:1, Revelation 4:11, Psalm 16:11, Philippians 3:8
JESUS
We Believe in Jesus Christ, the only son of God, born of a virgin, died and
rose again to be the savior of the world.
John 3:16, Matthew 1:18-25, 1 Corinthians 15:1-5
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We Believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every Christian
THE BIBLE
We Believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a lamp to our feet, and a light unto our path. We Believe the Bible comes from God and is the authority for all matters of faith.
Romans 15:4, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:105
PEOPLE
We Believe that every person has worth as a creation of God, but willfully sinned, and as a result is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.
SALVATION
We Believe that salvation, the forgiveness of sins, comes by grace though the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross.
Matthew 26:28, Romans 5:8-11, Ephesians 2:8-9
We Believe the bible teaches that those accepting Jesus as Savior are to believe in Jesus as God’s Son and Savior of the world, to repent of personal sin, to confess Jesus as Lord,
and to be immersed in baptism.
Luke 24:45-47, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Romans 10:9, Romans 6:1-7, 2 Peter 3:9
THE CHURCH
We Believe the Church is the body of Jesus, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of Christians everywhere, empowered by the Holy Spirit to make disciples of all people.
Matthew 16:13-18, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:14-47
We Believe it is God’s plan for the elders to lead the local Church.
Acts 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-4
HUMAN DESTINY
We Believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. The saved will inherit life everlasting, the unsaved, eternal separation from God.
We Believe Jesus will one day return for His bride, the Church,
and reign forever as King and Lord of all.
